dress diaries: Oscars 2009 edition

The 81st Academy Awards has just concluded and can I just say that it was one of the most emotional Oscars ever? I boohoed my eyes out when Heath Ledger won especially when the camera would cut away to Anne Hathaway (eww, that rhymed. hahaha.)

Anyway, what's the Oscars without fashion. From what I saw there were quite a bit of wedding-worthy gowns and jewelry out there:

Penelope Cruz in a 60-year-old vintage Pierre Balmain gown

and a diamond bracelet from Chopard

loving Kate Winslet's Chopard diamonds as well

I know this doesn't exactly screams wedding,

but can you just imagine it in white or ivory?

Tina Fey in a Zac Posen silver dress

her Freid Leighton bracelet is amazing!

Evan Rachel Wood in an Elie Saab Couture gown

I adore her Neil Lane earrings

now, I'm not sure if I actually love this one,

Miley Cyrus in a detailed Zuhair Murad gown

loved her Mary Norton clutch, though.

Marisa Tomei in a pleated Versace gown

Taraji P. Henson from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

in an ivory Roberto Cavalli gown (definitely one of my faves)

loved her Fred Leighton diamond necklace as well

Sarah Jessica Parker in a Dior Couture gown
