Here I am again with my website domain dreams. Sigh. It was March when I last posted about getting my own domain for this blog. It’s now August and I have gone nowhere. Hahaha. Well, that’s me a big procrastinator, always am and always will be. :)
Though I haven’t actually made steps to purchase my own domain, I have not totally forgotten about it. I have just been really swamped with wedding stuff that I cannot go through the whole process just yet. Lately, another bride to be from w@w has been discussing about putting up a website ala Style Me Pretty but would contain beautiful wedding things from the Philippines. How cool is that? That would be a really great thing for Filipina brides.
I guess the first step in putting up a site is to get your own domain. Although there are a lot of sites out there offering a free domain with no strings attached, more often than not, the things you can do with your site are very limited. So if you would want your site to go the extra mile, you would have to get your own webhost provider.
I will be the first to admit that I know nothing, zilch, nada about webhosting, more so with webhost providers. Good thing there’s Web Hosting Geeks, a site that compares different web host providers without you having to go to site after site after site. Web Hosting Geeks is the answer to all your webhosting needs.
While surfing the site, do take the time to go to their Web Hosting Geeks blog, there are tons and tons of tips and facts that are very beneficial to newbies like me. :)
And like I said in a previous post, I’m still not sure if they would be able to host a local site like mine, but heck, knowledge is power! :)
soon, I promise.
